(BDO) On August 2nd, the leader of Di An Town together with the Sewerage Project Management Unit of Binh Duong Province and Binh Duong Water - Environment Joint Stock Company (Biwase) had a field trip to investigate the situation of land clearance and construction of Lo O stream drainage system under sub-project of drainage and wastewater treatment system in Di An, funded by World Bank (WB).

The mission team checked the actual construction progress and exchanged with households located in the project areas.

Open channel is designed for the project with two side roads to serve  the people living there and the box sewer system across the existing roads. With respect to the signed loan agreement, the project must be completed and accepted before the end of 2019. Contractors and related units have taken advantage of every opportunity to implement just right after having the construction site. Up to now, the work has reached about 80%. For the side roads, it is still entangled with some households. In order to accelerate the progress of the project, the relevant units proposed to coordinate in communication along with additional design to change side roads into bridge to save land and increase the beauty of works.

At the meeting after inspection, Mr. Bui Thanh Nhan, Secretary of Di An Town People’s Committee agreed with the proposals, at the same time, welcomed the spirit and achievement of the Sewerage PMU of Binh Duong and related units. In a short time, the units have promoted the sense of responsibility; construction has reached considerable volume. Di An Town Party Committee will direct the Town People's Committee and wards to motivate households living in the project area to soon hand over their site for construction as scheduled.
