BINH DUONG WATER - ENVIRONMENT CORPORATION - JSC (BIWASE)

The project doubles the capacity of the Nhi Thanh Water Treatment Plant from 60,000 m3/day and night to 120,000 m³/day and night in its third phase. This expansion includes the investment in a D1,200 cast iron pipeline of raw water transmission, with a length of 12,500 meters; a cluster of processing units, sedimentation, and filtration tanks, and auxiliary components; a D1,200 cast iron pipeline of clean water, with a length of 22,300 meters; and other distribution pipelines to convey clean water from the plant to residential areas, urban areas, and industrial parks within Can Giuoc and Can Duoc districts in Long An province.

A DN 600 pipeline conveying water to Can Giuoc District, water supply projects within Long An province was completed by BIWASE.

The My Le booster pump station, with a capacity of 60,000 m³/day, was completed and put into operation on May 31, 2024. The remaining components have been approved and are currently being expedited for construction. The project is expected to be completed in the Quarter III of 2025. During the 2026-2030 period, BIWASE Long An will increase the capacity to 300,000 cubic meters per day and night.

The Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee suggested to soon implement the Long Thanh Water Highway Project: On July 5th, Mr. Vo Tan Duc, Acting Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, presided at a working session with departments, competent authorities, and the leadership of BIWASE Corporation—The investor of the Long Thanh Water Highway Project which has a designed capacity of 600,000 m³/day, an operational time frame of 50 years, and a project schedule of 36 months. This project is of significant importance, providing water for daily use, production, and socio-economic development, especially for newly developed industrial zones and urban areas surrounding Long Thanh Airport, which is set to reach international standards and put into operation in next two years. The total investment for the project exceeds 5,252 billion VND.

After hearing opinions from various departments and the assessment by the Department of Construction that "the project aligns with the province's master plan for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050," Acting Chairman Vo Tan Duc concluded the session by suggesting the project investor to expedite implementation. Dong Nai Province has recently received approval from the Prime Minister for the planning of additional urban areas and industrial zones in the Long Thanh and Cam My districts. Notably, the project will contribute to meeting the water demand for semiconductor manufacturing, high-tech industries, and other sectors that leading global corporations are expected to invest in within the Long Thanh Airport urban planning area in the coming years. The project investor is advised to work closely with the relevant departments and the three localities through which the project will pass to promptly complete all necessary procedures.

Binh Duong Water Environment Improvement Project (WEIP Project) will be implemented in Thuan An city, Di An city and Tan Uyen town of Binh Duong province.
