On December 25th, 2014, a Contract Signing Ceremony of Construction of Sewerage Treatment Plant in Thuan An was taken place in Binh Duong Water Supply Sewerage Environment Co., Ltd (BIWASE). Attending the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Thien-General Dircetor of BIWASE-and Mr. Akihiro Toji- Project Director- from Kobelco Eco – Solutions in Viet Nam, which is under Japanese Kobelco Corporation, signed the captioned contract.

Attending parties showed their strong mind in implementimg the contract to get highest result.

Contract value is 450 Billion VND, in which JICA funded 90% with ODA loan, local budget 10%. Thuan An Sewerage Treatment Plant having capacity of 17.000m3/day is under the Southern Binh Duong Water Environment Improvement project, phase II, including collecting and treating domestic waste water from residental area along upgraded and improved Ba Bo canal. Works is planned to be commenced in early 2015 with 26 months implementing period.
