After 12 months in which focussing on implementing construction, on Dec.20^th, 2014, Binh Duong Water Supply Sewerage Environment Co., Ltd (BIWASE) formally held an Inauguration Ceremony of My Phuoc Water Treatment Plant, phase 1, with capacity of 30,000m³/day. Total investment cost is 519 billion VND, equivalent to 24.9 million USD. Clean water from the plant is now not only meeting water demand from residental-urban area, My Phuoc industrial park but also acrossing Thi Tinh river to residental areas along Viet Huong II, Acendas industrial parks ect…., timely meeting developing requirements from residents and business in the region.

Clean water acrossing Thi Tinh river

The General Director of Binh Duong Water Supply Sewerage Environment Co., Ltd, Mr. Nguyen Van Thien, was excited to inform: “pipe line acrossing river was completed drilling process some months ago, taking clean water to inhabitants living in residental areas along Viet Huong II, Acendas industrial parks….This is the first time local residents having clean water to use , business in the region being assured on water volume for their production. Together with taking clean water acrossing Thi Tinh river, BIWASE also completed a waste water collecting and discharging system, basically solving long term pollution issue in the region. Having clean water for domestic use does not only bring pleasure to inhabitants but also contributes in constructing new rural in the land with full of revolutionary tradition!”.

My Phuoc urban- industrial park water supply project, phase 1 with capacity of 30,000m³/day is under Viet Nam urban water supply and waste water treatment project. Total investment cost is 519 billion VND, equivalent to 24.9 million USD from ODA loan of the World Bank. Contractor is Viet Nam Water-Environment Investment Corporation (VIWASEEN). Operation of new WTP will well meet domestic water demand in urban-industrial parks under Binh Duong Urban Service Industrial Complex with over 4,000ha, which is close to My Phuoc urban industrial park with over 9,000ha. Haft of this area is planned for urban and residental area, for service, school and park. It is expected that population in the area will be 1 million people in 2020.

Great progress in construction

Mr. Pham Van Chien-Director of Complex Water Supply Enterprise- said: With rapid growth of urban and industrial park in the region and with the existing capacity of 60,000m³/day now in over operation. Thanks to calculation and preparation in advance, such as installation of “waiting” pipe at junctions and planned areas, it is not difficult for us to connect, operate the system without any delay or extension of time for site clearance or compensation…It is designed to take raw water from Dong Nai river to the WTP with 9km in length. At the WTP, after going through sedementing, filtering and treating process, water is transferred about 20km to residentail, urban and industrial park, serving for water demand and developing requirements of residents and business. Although it is a long transmission main, all equipments installed are automatically operated with advanced technology, so it is convenient in controlling, operating by SCADA system.

It is proven that works invested by BIWASE all have high quality, great progress, such as Thu Dau Mot Waste Water Treatment Plant, South Binh Duong waste treatment complex, Di An II Water Treatment Plant ect….Mr. Nguyen Van Thien-General Director of BIWASE- shared his experience: Achieving this good result due to BIWASE have skillful, solidarity and responsible staff. In addition, the company have much experience in selecting technology, deploying implementation in an efficient way which saves much time and cost in order to take the works into operation, increasing investment effectiveness as fund for the works is a loan, the more time we spend in implementing the project, the less benificiary we get…”
