(BDO) On June 26^th, a meeting to transit messages on environment and propagandize on domestic waste water connection was co-ordinately held at Thu Dau Mot Waste Water Treatment Enterprise by Women’s Union of Thu Dau Mot city and Binh Duong Water Supply Sewerage Environment Co., Ltd with attendance of 300 members from ward Women’s Union s of: Phu Cuong, Phu Tho, Phu Hoa, Phu Loi, Chanh Nghia, Hiep Thanh.

Ms. Pham Thi Nghia, Vice Chairman of Provincial Women’s Union- directly made an introduction on importance of the environment to human’s life and development. In which, women play important role but being easily effected by the environmental impacts. Connection into a public collection system helps to save instruction cost of new works and cost to treat septic tank of old works. This ensures environmental elements and community’s health.

To concretize the Decision No. 1540 of PPC, the standing committee of Provincial Women’s Union issued a Decision No 186/QĐ-BTV on supporting house holds living in area under the Southern Binh Duong province water environment improvement project to borrow money with a favourable interest at 0.6% in term from 12 to 18 months to make a connection from family pipe into a public collection system. The maximum amount can be borrowed is 15 million VND per one house hold through Women’s Union under the project area.

After the meeting, participants also had a visit at Thu Dau Mot Waste Water Treatment Plant.
