According to Vietnam Forbes statistics, 50 companies in the list reach VND 127,530 billion in after-tax profit, up 19.2%.

Total market capitalization of 50 companies reaches US $ 94 billion, equivalent to 63% of the capitalization of the two stock exchanges in the middle of May 2019.

The leading companies have impressive growth. For example, after three consecutive years, Vinamilk led the market in terms of profitability, last year Vietcombank surpassed the dairy company, became the champion of after-tax profit with a growth of 60%.

Especially, this year’s list recognizes the growth of private enterprises: Vingroup brought Vinhomes to list, ranked second in the market for after-tax profit and is one of the four companies with outstanding capitalization value over 10 billion US dollars.

For the first time, Binh Duong Water - Environment Joint Stock Company (Biwase) reaches the top 50 listed companies on the best stock market.

A newly listed bank, Techcombank ranked second in the system in terms of profit after tax, ranking sixth on the stock market.

In the second half of 2018 and early 2019, Vietnam stock market did not have many big IPO deals, except for some notable names such as Vietnam Airlines and PetroVietnam Power Corporation (from Upcom to be listed on HSX).

Due to fluctuations in stock index, the wave of listed companies shows sign of slowing down. In this list, many representatives are still in real estate - construction, logistics, financial services, retail, construction materials sectors. In terms of stock exchange, as the HSX usually dominates with 45 representatives, the HNX has five representatives. This year's list has 13 changes, including 11 names for the first time, two companies return to the list.
