From May 29^th to May 31^th, 2019, at the head office of Binh Duong Water-Environment Joint Stock Company (BIWASE), Mr. Nguyen Van Thien - Chairman of the Board of Directors together with management board of BIWASE welcomed and worked with the project consultant mission of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to find out and gather more necessary information about the project of capacity upgrade of Tan Hiep water treatment plant (new city of Binh Duong), increase of 100,000m3/day, as well as agree on the next steps in project implementation.

The mission was headed by Mr. Satoshi Ishii, ADB Urban Development Specialist, with the participation of experts in finance, water and urban management, water law experts, etc. During the working day, the delegation listened to the leader of BIWASE presenting the project’s proposal about the capacity upgrade of Tan Hiep Water Treatment Plant by 100,000m3/day in order to meet the demand for clean water of Binh Duong new city area; as well as exchange, discuss and gather more information about BIWASE's cooperation, planning and strategy in the future. The delegation also visited BIWASE departments and treatment plants to further understand about BIWASE’s current facilities and its quality.

At the wrap up meeting, Mr. Satoshi Ishii - mission leader, highly appreciated the efforts and results that BIWASE has achieved in the past time, especially BIWASE’s capability in project implementation for always ensuring the right progress and quality. The delegation acknowledged the proposals and recommendations of BIWASE for the project of  capacity upgrade of Tan Hiep Water Treatment Plant. They will report to ADB leaders and will soon return with feedback. On behalf of the delegation, he thanked BIWASE's leaders and staff for their time to welcome and work with them in the last few days.
