Malaysia trade mission seeking for cooperation with BIWASE

At 02:30 PM, Management Board of Binh Duong Water Supply Sewerage Environment Co., Ltd (BIWASE) highly received Malaysia trade mission led by Mr. Ahmad Shanizam Ab Ghani-Malaysia Trade Commissioner in Ho Chi Minh city -for his official visiting and seeking for cooperation with BIWASE. This is an activity in a special trade promotion and investment programe on water supply and waste water treatment sector which Malaysia Government support Viet Nam.

Malaysia trade mission including 4 businesses functioning in supplier, service, comprehensive solutions for water supply and waste water treatment sectors are seeking for investment-cooperation oportunities in Viet Nam. Binh Duong is one of provinces in which Malaysia is planning to widen their cooperation relation so that Viet Nam will be a strategic partnership of Malaysia in the future. Main purpose of this trade promotion and investment programe is to (i) introduce on Malaysia advanced engineering and technology relating to water supply and waste water treatment; (ii) meet local authorities to find factor about policy and investment situation of companies functioning in the same sector; (iii) seek for potential projects as well as strategic partnerships for their investment in Viet Nam.

At the meeting, representative from each business had an overview introduction on their companies, services, products and capacity to BIWASE and they also expected to have a close cooperation with BIWASE in implementing water supply and waste water treatment projects.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thien-BIWASE’s General Director- highly appreciated Malaysia good quality products which have been being applied at BIWASE’s facilities such as Kent water meter. Beside that, BIWASE also had a study tour on waste water treatment technology ASBR used in Penang (Malaysia) to apply in Thu Dau Mot waste water treatment plant. Concurrently, BIWASE also encouraged Malaysia investors to pay more attention to technical support in domestic waste water treatment plants in Viet Nam because this is a sector really need support from international friends to enable an initial step in waste water treatment for a purpose of sustainable environmental protection.

In 2025, Biwase has set a plan to achieve a minimum total revenue of 4,760 billion VND (with the parent company reaching at least 2,920 billion VND and its subsidiaries at least 1,840 billion VND), and a minimum after-tax profit for the parent company and subsidiaries of 640 billion VND (with the parent company at least 520 billion VND and subsidiaries at least 120 billion VND), representing minimum growth rates of 8.5% and 12.7%, respectively, compared to the results achieved in 2024.
